Harvard University Northwest Science Building - Cambridge, MA

Harvard University’s Northwest Science Building stands as the institution’s largest recent development and a benchmark for modern research facilities. Designed by the renowned SOM New York office, the project brings together neuroscience, bioengineering, and computational research in a flexible, high-performance environment. Navigating a challenging site woven between six existing buildings and adjacent to a historic neighborhood, SOM delivered a timeless design that blends seamlessly into Harvard’s architectural fabric. ECO Cladding was selected to support the rainscreen façade, providing engineered attachment systems that align with the project’s performance goals and fast-track construction needs. This collaboration between a world-class university, an elite design firm, and ECO’s precision-engineered solutions helped realize a facility built for innovation and longevity.
