ECO Cladding Terracotta Rainscreen HZ.22 Cladding System

Station No. 5 - San Francisco, CA

San Francisco Public Works designed and managed the construction of the new replacement facility, which is expected to receive LEED Gold certification for energy and water efficiency. A terracotta rainscreen along with an HZ.22 attachment system were utilized for the new Fire Station No. 5 at 1301 Turk St. The updated design replaced the historic 1950s-era firehouse at the same location which no longer met the demands of a modern-day San Francisco. The 21,193 square-foot flagship fire station for San Francisco Fire Department’s Division 2, consists of 20 fire stations located in the downtown Financial District and northwestern neighborhoods. Alten Construction served as the primary contractor.
