Princeton University Hobson College ECO Cladding Systems for Terracotta Shingles

Princeton Hobson College - Princeton, NJ

Hobson College, designed by PAU, is the first Princeton residential college named after a person of color, philanthropist Mellody Hobson. Replacing the former First College, the new design weaves between historic Gothic structures to create a village-like hub with new courtyards and a vital east-west campus connection.

The facade pairs ECO Cladding’s attachment system with terracotta shingles, blending tradition with innovation. Built with mass timber, geothermal systems, and full material reuse, the project sets a new standard for sustainable campus living.
