Eco Cladding ACM and Terracotta Rainscreen Subframing System

Kent State University Stark Fine Arts Building - Portage County, OH

To meet the evolving needs of its rapidly growing music, visual arts, and theater departments, Kent State University engaged Hasenstab Architects to design a comprehensive renovation and addition to the Fine Arts Building on the Stark Campus. A key focus of the expansion was the music technology program, one of the university’s fastest-growing degrees, which now features state-of-the-art live recording studios, control rooms, and isolation booths—providing students with on-campus access to professional-grade facilities for the first time.

ECO Cladding’s engineered subframing systems were utilized to support a dual façade of ACM and terracotta rainscreen panels. The ECO systems provided the flexibility and thermal performance needed for the building envelope, ensuring a high-performance façade that matched the university’s commitment to design excellence and durability.
