Profile Rails

Stocked and Ready...

In addition to our fully-engineered solutions for CI Subframing and Panel Subframing, ECO Cladding maintains significant reserves of all of our stock profile rails, available for applications where individual components are necessary. Cut profile lengths that can be project-specific and custom solutions are also available. Advantages of purchasing profiles from our stock include:

Aluminum Durability

Rainscreen Walls are open to wetness (a key factor in corrosion). Our 6063 Aluminum has an “A” rating for corrosion resistance, with no known instances of failure in service or laboratory tests. Aluminum is different from galvanized steel in that field exposure tests have found the aluminum remains stable, while galvanized steel shows a reduction of 10 times greater weight loss in thickness, causing its strength to reduce over time.

Aluminum & Paint Standards

We use 6063-T6 aluminum, which meets or exceeds ASTM B221, AMS 4156 and ASME SB-221 specifications. Paint and painted profiles meet or exceed AAMA 2604 and AAMA 2605 specifications.

6063 Aluminum Advantages

All of support rails are extruded with 6063-T6, copper-free and “marine-grade” aluminum. The aluminum is a silvery white, nonmagnetic, ductile metal. For rainscreen applications, the non corrosive nature of aluminum makes it a perfect material to use.  Since aluminum is more elastic than steel, it is especially ideal for creating precise parts for deep and straight walls and is efficient to fabricate with most punching and extrusion machines.

ENGINEERED

Connections at wall brackets, profiles, and panel fasteners are engineered to limit panel stresses associated with thermal movements.

COMPLIANT

Our bracket based systems are designed to meet or exceed the thermal perfomance requirements of
ASHRAE 90.1.

OPTIMIZED

Our approach allows fewer penetrations through the Continuous Insulation plane & the weather protective membrane.
